Higgins Talent Show

So last night I went to the variety show at for Higgins Elementary. There were so many kids who got on stage to sing, dance, or tell jokes. I couldn't believe the courage these kids had. There was a really good interpretive dance song a girl to did of Alice in Wonderland. She really caught the mood of it. Another one of my favs was 3 boys who were break dancing to a rap song, Not all of the acts were true talent... But I thoroughly enjoyed the whole show because these kids were not one ounce of shy when it came to being who they wanted to be on stage. The confidence that they had thinking they looked and sounded good, or faith that they had to step out and just try it, made me wish I could be like that. It reminded me of Mark 10:15 "I tell you the truth, anyone who doesn’t receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it.” I was sitting there thinkin God is this why you want us to be like a child? I might actually step out and do some good or at least make a few people laugh. I wouldn't think about if everyone watching me thought it was dumb. And really that is such a dumb thought because of all those kids up there...no one thought they were dumb. Even the acts that weren't great ended up being the best ones. Who really cares if you are dumb anyway. We find our confidence in Christ. I don't know where I'm really goin with this...but maybe God is showin me if I step out with some blind faith that he will come through and it be just be the right act to show someone his love.
